While reading the Scriptures, Isaiah 28: 21 reveals something remarkable. Isaiah 28:21 NLT [21] The Lord will come as he did against the Philistines at Mount Perazim and against the Amorites at Gibeon. He will come to do a strange thing; he will come to do an unusual deed. In quest to understand the meaning of that statement—what the Lord did to the Philistines at Mount Perazim and to the Amorites at Gibeon, I decided to search the scripture further. In 2 Samuel 5, the Philistines gathered against David after learning that he had become king. David asked the Lord what to do, and God instructed him to fight, that he has given him victory. When the Philistines returned for a second attack, they came with renewed confidence because of their previous experience—much like the way devil remembers past battles and tries to repeat old strategies and patterns.
